Fall Newsletter

**🍁🎣 TOTF Fall Fishing Newsletter 🎣🍁**

Friends,

It has been a fantastic extended Fall – our favorite time of year: Vibrant fall colors painted the landscapes throughout Southwest Montana this season. Fishing was outstanding with the beautiful background of a Montana autumn. The cool, crisp air, the rustle of leaves, and the opportunity for trophy catches make autumn a truly magical time for anglers. In this edition, we bring you the latest updates on fall fishing conditions, upcoming season suggestions, and exciting news about our new merchandise just in time for the holidays.

**🍂 Fall Fishing this year 🍂**

Conditions this fall were fantastic! Low temperatures, moisture at night, and clear and milder conditions during the day provided near-perfect conditions for fishing our valleys and lakes. As the temperatures drop, the trout become more active, creating ideal conditions for anglers seeking a thrilling fishing experience. Large, brilliantly-colored, spawning Browns were a highlight of this fall. Sizes of 20″+ were not uncommon. The stars of the show were egg patterns, rubber legs, and streamers! All were hitting well.

*🎣 Pro Tips for Planning Fall Fishing 🎣**

1. **Explore the Madison River:**

Known for its exceptional trout population, the Madison River is a must-visit destination in the fall. Crowds are diminished (I float-waded a full day without seeing another soul), Browns are spawning, weather is prime, and did I mention the crowds are scarce?

2. **Gear Up for Success:**

Clothing: The constant fall-changing SW MT weather conditions dictate proper planning. Layers are key. Here, we can have conditions that can swing from summer to winter – plan accordingly. Our guides will have rain slicks for our anglers but do plan ahead.

Gear: Our professional guides are always dialed in with real-time intelligence for the best patterns to put you on the fish. Our cost includes everything you need to experience our waters – rod, reels, tippet, and appropriate flies. The only extra cost to you is license fees, wader rental, and gratuity to your guide. Of course, you are welcome to bring your tackle and service your gear; however, our guides will be just as comfortable servicing your equipment – including flies.

3. **Timing Matters:**

Our guides know where the fish are and when they’re most active during the trip, and we will help plan your outing accordingly. Depending on the conditions, we do not like to fish on “used water” and thrive to be first on and last off. Our guides will plan with you to ensure the most productive trip by being on the water when it is most productive.

**🌟 Book Your Fishing Adventure Now🌟**

Yes, fall fishing is excellent for many reasons, but it does not mean fishing the rest of the year is not. Notably, our clients do more than just come here to fish our pristine rivers and lakes. They come with families and friends to experience all that Southwest Montana offers: camping, hiking, horseback riding, wildlife, and the parks, to mention a few. Let us help you plan everything – fishing, of course, but we can also assist in all other aspects of your adventure.

This year, we had many last-minute bookings, but clients who plan ahead arrange and build their visit around their schedule, not ours. We suggest planning your adventure sooner rather than later. Need help! Schedule a free consultation with one of our planners by clicking here to schedule a call at your convenience for a one-on-one discussion to tailor your adventure. We work for you!
